Born in blustery Calgary, Canada, Lianna left home at the age of 17 to study English Literature and Mathematics at the University of British Columbia. She went on to pursue a graduate degree in Online Journalism at Ryerson University in Toronto, where she was introduced to the world of blogging, citizen journalism, and digital media, and hence, front-end development. This led to a career in online production with Cox Enterprises in Atlanta. Lianna joined Zappos.com as the product manager of 6pm.com (the Zappos liquidation site), and later headed up Zappos VIP, the infamous loyalty program targeting the top 20% of Zappos’ customers. Lianna’s sharp eye for good UX and expert product management instincts give clients an edge over the competition. She is also a 200 hour certified Yoga teacher and a mommy of two.
Alex was accidentally born in the balmy surf town of Biarritz, France, where his pregnant mother and father decided to take a last minute baby moon. He grew up in West Berlin and spent his days riding a skateboard and kicking a soccer ball. After moving to the US in his late teens and studying computer science and business management in university, he became one of the early pioneers at Zappos.com in Las Vegas, Nevada. There, he headed up numerous departments including front-end development, user experience, and mobile. Alex has also held posts as VP of Engineering at companies in San Francisco including Lob.com, and Place.xyz. Alex delivers to clients a deep knowledge of eCommerce and technology paired with a passionate understanding of technology organizations and working with fellow engineers.
